Rio Open Motivates New Business for Brazilian Exporters

The Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brasil) recently brought a group of influential business people to the country for a slate of meetings followed by a sports agenda. There were 48 buyers, investors, and opinion makers, from 14 countries. The visitors attended meetings and called on factories, retail facilities, laboratories and production facilities. During their visit they were able to watch tennis matches in the Rio Open, held February 15-21, at the Jockey Clun in Rio de Janeiro.


Each buyer or investor had as host a specific Brazilian entrepreneur or businessperson. A total of 26 national companies, from 22 different industries, participated in the initiative. These laboratories, industries, traders, service providers and trade associations closed a series of present and future deals valued at R$ 114.5 billion.
